Early Life & Family
A Demonstration of God's Grace
Apostle A. E. Stanley is the General Overseer of The Sanctuary Church of God International (SCOG INT'L), also known as Faith Chapel International. He is quick to point out that Jesus Christ is the true founder of this ministry — he considers himself simply a custodian who has submitted to the will of God.
He was born on December 7, 1987, in Oshie, Momo Division, in the North West Region of Cameroon — a birth he describes as a demonstration of God's grace and mercy — to Agyingi Obed and Mary Ambang.
His academic journey was, in his own words, proof of divine empowerment and grace — he frequently emerged as top of his class. He holds two advanced level certificates (in Arts and in Sciences), a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences and Accountancy from the University of Buea, and a Bachelor's degree in Ministry from Global Focus Bible College, USA.
From his second year at university in 2009, he began tutoring students from the University of Buea and other institutions to help finance his studies — a work he continued until 2019, teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. He describes this season, too, as the grace of God at work in his life.
The Call of God
A Word, a Fast, and a Vision
In 2012, Apostle Stanley received the call of God for his life through a prophetic word. In 2013, during a one-week fast for direction, this call was confirmed — he was shown, through a vision, that he would oversee a church. Several other prophecies, given to him, family members, and friends, confirmed this call and commission.
Seeking the face of God in prayer, he was given two scriptures that would shape everything that followed: Ezekiel 37:26–27 and Colossians 1:27. It is through the revelation of these two passages that the name and the vision of SCOG INT'L were born — Sanctuary Church of God, meaning God's dwelling place is among His people, with a vision to make the heart of man a dwelling place for the Lord through faith.

He also received three visions, on successive Wednesdays and Fridays. The first concerned the call of God on his life: in it, he was given a herd of cows, which known people scattered twice — only for him to later find them gathered again in their pen, at the summit of a mountain. Years later, this vision would prove to be a direct foreshadowing of the church's own early journey.
Even as a tutor, he did not only teach — he preached, leading many to the Lord both directly and indirectly, with the power of God already evident in signs, wonders, and miracles. His first official preaching engagement was at a youth retreat with the Église Évangélique du Cameroun (EEC) in May 2014, where he taught on Faith and Prayer.
From a Prayer Cell to a Ministry
The Founding of SCOG INT'L
SCOG INT'L began on October 14, 2016, as a small prayer cell, by the direction of the Holy Spirit. Just after its first two services, the Anglophone crisis surfaced, bringing significant disruption. Attendance rose and fell — sometimes to as few as four people — and there were seasons when the cell could not hold service at all.
This scattering was, in hindsight, a direct confirmation of the vision received years earlier about the cows: dispersed, yet ultimately gathered back together at the summit. Exactly four months after the cell's first service, on the 12th of February 2017, SCOG INT'L held its first official Sunday service — the moment now marked as the ministry's true birth.
Since then, by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit, the ministry has continued moving from strength to strength, and from one level to another.
His Teaching on Faith
Faith Proven Through Action
Apostle Stanley teaches that faith is one of the greatest virtues of the believer — without it, according to Hebrews 11:1, no one can truly please God. Ephesians 2:8 shows that salvation itself comes by faith, and 2 Corinthians 5:7 declares that the believer's entire walk is a walk of faith.
But faith, though one of the greatest Christian virtues, is proven through action. James 2:24 teaches that justification comes not by faith alone, but also by works; James 2:26 declares that faith without works is dead; and James 2:18 shows that faith is demonstrated through deeds.
This conviction gave birth to Faith in Action — a divine mandate to build up the faith of believers and help them demonstrate that faith through their deeds, broadcast twice weekly on our social media platforms and on Voice of Faith TV, Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM.

A Heart for the Less Privileged
ASE & All Foundation
In May 2014, driven by a passion to help the less privileged, Apostle Stanley founded the ASE & All Foundation — a charity organization that has since become the charity arm of the ministry. Since its founding, the Foundation has carried out numerous outreach efforts to orphanages, underserved communities, and hospitals, meeting practical needs in the name of Christ.

Family
Beyond the pulpit, Apostle A. E. Stanley is a devoted family man — married and blessed with two children — whose personal life reflects the same commitment to Christ that has shaped his ministry from the beginning.
